I bought the Dell E521 (AMD AthlonTM 64 X2 dual-core, XP Prof sp2) system recently and it's capable with Sata hd.

I added the Maxtor Sata drive and I could see it in the Device Manager but dont' see it in Windows Explorer.

What did I do wrong?

go to disk mnagement utility, right clivk on my computer, manage, disk management. There you can find your new HD, right click on it and choose format.
