i have a maxtor II one touch and recently it just wouldnt boot up. started to panic as it has incredibly important photos. i sent it to a data recovery specialist and he said that he managed to get it working again, but couldnt access the data because it is password protected. i have had the drive for 2 years and first set a password when i bought it. however, i forgot the password early on and have been using the 'secret question' to access my drive without any problems. i cant use this option now because the program needed to reconize the drive doesnt give you this option. not sure what program he used but will find out. is there anyway to access my data, with, for example an over riding password. thanks in advance for your help.
