Penguin17 0 Newbie Poster

Ok this is my first time building my own system and i thought it would be fun, i got a motherboard, cpu, gpu, psu, and 2GB of ram and kept my old hard drive and disk drives as well as my PiP samsung monitor that was about 800 bucks 3 years ago or so. anyways the computer runs, but the monitor only flash its little green stadby light, mocking me. i've tried reseting the bios/cmos; tried reseting the ram, any other ideas?

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ 2.6 GHz Socket AM2 Processor-In-A-Box

Power Supply: BFG Technologies PC System 650 Watt ATX Internal Power Supply Unit

GPU: BFG GeForce 8800 GTS OC 640MB GDDR3 PCI Express Graphics Card

RAM: 2 x1GB PNY sticks DDR2

Hard Drive: 80GB Western Digital...really old

Case: Antec 900 Advance Gaming

Monitor: Older Samsung 19" PiP w/ TV cable in (sorry i dont know the model)
