Okay, i think the samsung 160gb SATA drive on my dell dimension 5150 is dying

I keep getting BSOD error 0x24 and the dreaded "non system disk or disk error" mesage but booting into recovery mode from the XP cd and running chkdsk /r , fixboot and fixmbr has fixed it so far. The disk also makes bad whiney/clicky/grindy noises and is very hot.

Can anyone recommend any good drives? - must be 160gb and under £40 andf run cool and quiet (my case has major issues)

And is my dimension SATA or SATA 2? Or does it not matter? (dont know much about sata)

Will windws (Dell OEM) complain if I install it on a new drive (the first time the disk died it killed my recovery partition :( but luckily I made the CD when it asked me too. This is a working XP cd but seems to be pre-activated?)
