Hi,
I had an external harddrive that wouldn't work anymore.
So I took it from its case and added it to my desktop as a slave harddrive in order to retrieve the data. Once I add it the computer won't start. once I take it off it works.....

hi maryvac, your hdd is spoiled already and it's quite hard to retrieve the data on it, from my experience those external drive can be easily spoiled...better back-up on cd's or dvd's...
