I downloaded the 3.7 GB Fedora x86_64 DVD.iso. Is there any way I can put this on a USB drive and boot from it without using the "Live USB"?

Hi fuggles!

I'm not sure what you mean by "Live USB", but take a look at "unetbootin"

http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

You should be able to use unetbootin to get a bootable USB image from the dvd iso.

I hope this helps!

Hi,
Download the USB installer from
http://www.pendrivelinux.com/universal-usb-installer-easy-as-1-2-3/

then burn the iso to the USB. After this you will need to restart your PC and as it starts keep pressing the F11 key or the key that enables you to select boot device; Now you need to select USB and boot up linux. I hope that one day you will decide to totally switch to linux.
