Just upgraded to Tiger from Jaguar. Opened Mail, proceeded to import from previous Mail. Apparently successful - around 11000 messages imported.

Except..

I can see all my mailboxes fine, ...but they're all empty!

Additionally, new mail coming in is not appearing in my mailboxes.

I can see my old messages in:

~Library/Mail/Mailboxes/boxname.mbox/messages/1.emlx, 2.emlx etc.

Within Mailboxes, for each mailbox (eg. boxname.mbox), there is another folder simply called "boxname" (i.e. without the mbox extension).

All these are empty.

Connections and accounts all seem fine.

What's going on and any ideas as how to fix it?

Any help greatly appreciated:) Life as we know it is on hold until I fix this.

After 2 restarts, and letting Mail go through the Import routine again twice (!), the problem has simply vanished and all mail is functioning perfectly:)

Hmmm. Most odd.
