I get a message "there was a problem installing this hardware: access denied" when I plug in a new IPOD touch into my customer's XP home machine (a p4 2.4ghz). I have scanned for viruses/spyware, did a registry cleaner, made sure I was logged in as admin, even tried creating a new user account; tried an xp overlay, system restore...I don't know what else to try. Somewhere in the registry some permissions are messed up. Anyone know where to look?
This same IPOD works fine on other machines.. loads in seconds when plugged into usb.
