So I've just come off my most recent Linux trip consisting of Gutsy Kubuntu. Functionality was sadly deficient, but I absolutely fell in love with KDE. I managed to reach UI perfection; it was almost a religious experience.
Well, so I come crashing back into Windows, and my eyes hurt.
So basically, can anyone point me towards a 3rd party program that can give me a great deal more options regarding my taskbar/start menu button? That or a taskbar or windows shell replacement that's not cluttered or ugly?
Specifically what I had in KDE was a dock on the left side of the screen (which I've achieved with Object Dock) and my taskbar at the top. The taskbar background was transparent with the KDE logo for the K-Menu. The taskbar items were text with the button background being transparent. The system tray and clock were at the far right.
Not necessarily identical, but I want the simplicity and transparency back.
