I need to reboot my computer, but I do not have the recovery disc. Where can I get one? I recently got a new flat screen monitor, but the computer I am using is older. The guy that used it before completely wiped out everything, including windows. When I turn on the computer, a message pops up that says, " This copy of Windows must be activated with Microsoft before you can log on. Do you want to activate Windows now?" But when I try to activate Windows by telephone, they can't help me because the product key on the computer comes up false. I also can't get it connected by the internet, because I need to get to my desktop to make the internet work with my Wireless Adapter and everything. This is really stressing me out, is there anyone that can tell me what to do, where to get this disc, and what is the oldest one I can use? I tried to Windows 2000 CD but it was too old. Is there an easier way to do this? I tried the reboot that popped up on the computer screen, but it did nothing. Please help!!
