It's a fresh install of XP Pro Srvc Pck 2. Of course IE is the latest version. Anytime I try to read the source and click it in the menu nothing happens. Any ideas as to why? It wouldn't be the pop-up killer in SP 2 would it. If so, how might I circumvent that without neutralizing the pop-up killer?

Mine works and I have SP2 so i don't think it that !
Try deleting you Temporary internet files.
I just read that if you have a shortcut to notpad on you desktop or in you Quick launch it can cause this ,so i copied a shortcut to notpad to my desktop and i can no longer view source!!

That was right-on!:) I deleted my shortcut and the source code came on like gangbusters.
