Please help!!! I cna not save what homepage I want to have in my IE options. It always defaults to about blank and some wierd toolbar. I have ran Macafee, and I am able to get on line...just got a strange feeling. HAs this ever happen to anyone or any suggestion on what My problem is?

Check the viruses, spyware and nasties section of this forum. there are numerous topics related to about:blank hijacks.
A better alternative, perhaps, is to download and install Mozilla or Firefox, install it and set it as your default web browser, and use that instead of Internet Explorer. No. Not perhaps. That's DEFINITELY the best alternative!

Close all browser windows, scan with hijackthis, save the log, and then copy and paste it into a new thread in the Virus forum along with a description of you're problem. (Don't post the log in this thread)
