When i open an Excel file it opens up Excel but not the actuall file that I double clicked. I would then have to click on File>open and drive to the file i want open.

I have uninstalled and re-installed office, Uninstalled my Antivirus. set the security level low in Macros, made sure the *.xls is pointing to MS Excel Worksheet.

I have downloaded Office UPDATE (office2003-kb834691)

I am currently downloading/installing Service Pack 2.

Can someone advise me what i can do next to resolve this matter?

Any help or assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
