Help! please.... My Fn key has stopped working for no apparent reason. How do I switch it on again. I am not particularly technical so if you could keep it simple I'd appreciate it.

Thanks
David

I have a somewhat similar issue, involving the miniUSB Inland keyboards sold at MicroCenter in the Midwest, USA. I bought to supplant a partially working Acer 4710 keyboard where attempts to repair seemed to make several keys ineffective. 7,8,y,u,h,b,n are all non-functioning on the Acer keypad. Not sure why as I made numerous attempts to connect the ribbon cable to the motherboard to establish better contact. The Inland mini keyboard has a FN key as well for replicating laptop functions I assume of course, but nothing happens, is there a driver for that sort of thing? As to the original question, my first thought is the connection is partially made from the keyboard to the motherboard or computer, or the key itself is broken in effect.
