1) What is the difference between searched *.tmp and .tmp files created by Killbox?
2) Is is safe (recommended) to delete the folders created/installed by Windows Update? The folders all begin and end with a dollar sign ($)

Examples:
$MSI31Uninstall_KB893803v2$
$NtUninstallKB835732$

Hello,

I do not have a killbox, so I will leave that one alone.

Keep the $ directories from Windows updates. You do not want to mess around with that information. Especially if you have plenty of drive space. Just leave it alone.
