heard about Firefox.....

I have a couple questions, the first being somewhat trivial...

1. my toolbars on internet explorer seem to be somewhat mixed up. i use netzero as my internet provider, and it comes with a toolbar installed for internet explorer. when i try to deactivate the netzero toolbar, my norton toolbar disappears and vice versa. what's going on?

2. i've heard people talk about firefox and i'm wondering if i should be using it instead? i'm tired of worrying about viruses and such, and i'm wondering what the advantages of firefox are?

Use a program called Toolbar Cop

Actually, one of those stupid toolbars managed to hack its way into Firefox on my computer - MyWebSearch. Other than that, everything has been OK with Firefox.
