I hooked a somewhat old 17" CRT to my Laptop in order to achieve 1560x1080 resolution. It works fine when I use, however it recently started turn a shade of green on me. My laptop is fine, and I used to be able to just shift the monitor and it would go back to normal. However now, it just stays green. Is there any way to stop this? The monitor cable is not twisted or anything For what it's worth.

I'm not sure of any software or error that would turn a monitor 'green'. if you mean 'tinted' green, well, that can happen with older monitors. it just does. if you can't adjust the settings to suit what you want using the dials on the monitor, then it's just time to get a new CRT. At least they aren't too expensive anymore.
