We want to upgrade from Windows 2003 to Windows 2008. Curretly we have one Domain Controller. Is there a tool available to migrate user accounts and groups from Windows 2003 to Windows 2008 Domain Controller. I tried lidifde command but did not work and seemed overly complicated. Thank You.

uhm.
hopefully you purchased a new server
setup the new service, install the active directory, dns and so forth. once its on it should be a secondary, all the data from the original will replicate itself to the new server.
then change the new servers functionality to the master
then start uninstalling the active directory and dns services from the primary.
there is more steps involved. but this is the way you would probably want to go about it.

they have a windows 2008 server video training series, i think it is 140 dollars and covers everything about the migration
