Another friend of mine had music and somehow it got deleted. I think the trash was emptied also. Can he get it back?

possibly, it depends on how much the drive was used after the files were deleted...
what files system is it? fat / fat32 / NTFS? you need to get an undelete program geared towards the file system your using.
