After being hit with a nasty virus that I cant figure out how to get rid of I have decided to just wipe the computer and start over and I was just wondering if I can get step by step instructions on how to do this. Im running Windows XP and when I purchased the computer I was not given a Windows CD. Any help would be appreciated.

You didn't say if your computer is installed with a recovery partition. Since it didn't come out of the box with a recovery CD, I assume that it does. FYI the recovery partition usually appears as "D:\" in "My Computer". It would be nice if they told you this up front somewhere, but all you have to do is repeatedly press F10 on reboot and it should take you to some sort of "Recover My Computer" walk thru.... If you don't have the partition, whoa! Call your computer's manufacturer and make them send you a CD. HP did it for me, no charge in 48 hours.
