I have a fresh installation of Win XPMC. I originally was setting up an ftp server on my computer when i realized the problem. But now I realize that I cannot connect to any ftp server. Here's what i have and what i've done:
- Win XP with Norton IS 2006.
- I have created an exception in Norton to permit all ftp activity.
- i can ping ftp sites and resolve IP's but connection times out
- i have made all the necessary rules in my router, forwarding to my ftp server.
- i tried moving my computer to DMZ
- replaced router
- tried to connect to ftp sites via command prompt, IE, CuteFTP Pro, and Firefox...only times out
- using Norton IS firewall and not Windows
- tried connecting using PASV mode
- tried disabling Norton
Any help would be appreciated!!!!
