I have windows 2000. when I log on, no icons or task bar or start menu are visible, (the only thing visible is the wall paper).

This problem does not occure when I start the computer in safe mode. I have, in safe mode, added a user name and tried ogging on with that but with little success.

I am not aware of having changed anything which could result in this.

I would appreciate any suggestions

it could be virus has all you EXE's corrupt ,did you try running you antivirus program in safe mode !
