I am setting up a brand new PC we just recieved. Everything works fine until I have it join the domain... now, when any user (local or domain) tries to log in, Windows Explorer does not run.

I can open the task manager and start Explorer that way, but it will no longer begin on its own.

If I take the PC off the domain, everything runs fine.

I have checked registry, msconfig, group policy, and other settings to no avail, and hoped someone may have an idea.

The PC is an Optiplex GX620 running Microsoft XP SP2
