I'll start out by saying this is the first time I've seen this error message.

Shortly after installating WIN XP Media Center ver. 2005 onto my comps master hard drive I started recieving this error message. Thinking the error message was a fluke and to rule out the OS as the problem, I installed WIN XP Pro onto the slave hard drive. I also recieve the error message on the slave.

Here's the systems setup:

ASUS A8N-VM CSM socket 939 motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ Dual Core cpu
4 gigs Kingston Dual Channel DDR400 memory
master hard drive: 320gig Western Digital caviar running XP Media Center ver. 2005
slave hard drive: 80gig Western Digital caviar running XP Pro

Here's my questions.

1.) What is the cause of the problem?
a.) the processor
b.) the memory

2.) How serious an error message is this?

Thanks for posting that thread. I'll have to unistall Asus Probe and see if that fixes the problem.

This not resolve for me, I uninstall PC Probe 2, and installing the last version, but the error continues.

ASUS P5K SE, 2GB RAM, QUAD CORE Q6600 intel
