When I open my QuickTime player on my new laptop and then try to open a .wmv file, it gives me an error message. Is there a way to open these files in QuickTime?

Also, when I put a DVD in my laptop, it there a way to make QuickTime play this too?

Essentially what I want to do is make QuickTime the default player for every movie and video file on my computer. Is this possible? I am running Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 SP2.

I got QuickTime to play every movie file I want it too now, but as for DVD's it still doesn't open them...
