Hello all,
I'm new to this whole posting thing. I hope I am in the right section. I am having a problem with quicktime and related video files on my computer. My system runs on an anthlon xp 1800 and has over a gig of memory. Sadly however in the last few weeks quicktime has begun acting strangely. When I play any file the cpu usage jumps and the program (quicktime.exe) runs around 90-100% of the cpu). Needless to say the video playback suffers tremendously.
I have already updated directx and all of my video drivers. I even went so far as to install an additional hard drive to house the video and to install quicktime to. Still the program acts the same way.
If anyone has experienced the same types of issues and figured out how to resolve them please let me know.
