Wired connection works but no wireless

I have Time Warne Cable connection, a Belkin and a new Netgear router and need to get my wireless connection to work on my new MAC and my old HP. I am able to connect to the internet through the router using a wired connection. However, the wireless connection has not been working for ages. I have bought two new routers thinking the issue was with the router but that does not seem to solve the problem. Although the router indicates that the wireless tech is working, our computers are not identifying the signal. Please advise. I am desperate! Thanks.
