Hello all, i was just wondering if their was a way to delete confidential e-mails, i can't just delete them i was wondering if their was some sort of electronic shredder or something of that matter. If anybody has any suggestions, it would be appreciated. Thanks

Good question, . and have already touched the obvious options, so here are the practical limits and safer approaches.

You cannot reliably erase an e-mail once it has left your outbox. Deleted messages on a client can still exist on mail servers, in backups, in forwarded copies, or in a recipient's local archive. In a corporate Exchange environment you can try a message recall, but it only works in narrow conditions and is not guaranteed — see Microsofts documentation on message recall for details ().

For future protection, prefer preventing exposure over trying to erase it later. Use end-to-end encryption (for example GnuPG or S/MIME) so intercepted or stored copies are unreadable. For removing local copies, use vetted secure-delete utilities (Windows: sdelete (Sysinternals); Linux: shred) — but note secure deletion on SSDs and cloud-hosted mail is often ineffective because of wear-leveling and provider backups. If a sensitive message was already sent, contact the recipient and your mail admins immediately and treat the content as potentially permanent. For truly sensitive data, avoid plain e-mail and use encrypted file transfer or secure messaging instead.

why can't u just delete the messages?? then empty the deleted folder.
