here is the full error message
MySQL Error: 1064 // You have an error in your SQL syntax near '' at line 1

This sounds like a similar problem that I was having when trying to submit data on a static page in my site.

I got the same error message and after numerous attempts at fixing the problem I found out that it had to do with a "'" (apostrophe) in a couple of my lines of text. Once I removed them I was able to get a clean submission with no errors.
