mysql error 1060 42000

I am tring to import a database from another server that is 10gb in size the database came to me as 10 files xaa xab xac xad etc. I ran a command to dump the 10 files to 1 10gb file mydatabase.sql When I first tried to import via command line on fedora 7 I got an error I ran max_allowed_packet=32M and that fixed the first error now I get this after about 20 min of trying to import the database. I also created a blank database in phpmyadmin first then do the import via command line.

To be on safe side, increase max_allowed_packet to 64M and increase the myisam_sort_buffer_size to speed up the index creation process.

Which version of MySQL you are using?

version 5.0.45 the dump came from 4.1.11 I also tried 4.1.22 and get the same error Now I am back at 5.0.45

What should I increase myisam_sort_buffer_size to?

256M should be fine for myisam_sort_buffer_size. Do you have non-english characters in the dump file?

Why did you create one file of 10gb from 10 files? Did you try to import all 10 files one by one instead of importing one big file?
