The menu form that starts up when I open access has a bug in it...I wanted to close the form when a certain condition exists but I used the quit command (instead of close) so it quits access completely! I cannot get in to fix my bug. Is there any way around this?
Try holding down Shift while you open the database. This will over-ride the startup procedures. For example, hold down shift while double clicking the database file.
thanks! that worked. I did find another workaround by exporting a new version of a table to the database with data that was what the application was looking for, so it opened ok, but your solution is much more general.
