Can MSSQL sever installed before MS.NET?

Hi all,
I want to install both SQL and the MS.NET software.The normal order is install MS.NET first ,then the SQL .But I wat to install SQL first .Can MSSQL sever installed before MS.NET? Suggestions please !!!
