how can i have a horizontal or vertical barcode in my software if output is JPG format

The simplest way how to deal with barcodes is to use special fonts. You simply print the text below the barcode with special font and you are finished. You can print such "text" onto bitmap and save it as jpeg as well, of course. These fonts are available for free - try Google it up!
