Crystal Reports - SQL Expression Fields

HI,
In my crystal report i want to use the SQL expression field to calculate the opening balance of the account based on the date passed to crystal report using parameter field..
How can i do it??

Now I have generated a subreport based on the account no as a hyperlink(display on demand), the link appears as name of the subreport... I want to display the subreport by clicking on the account no...
Want to link sub report to accountno field on the crystal report......
Is it possible in Crystal Report......
