What is the easiest way of installing wxPython
on Mandriva LE 2005 ?
I have tried it several times but didn't worked.
( I am not a Linux guru ).
I just want to see if the simple programs I've made
runs on linux to.
Also tried Kubuntu but tha seems to have another
way of installing something.

I am surprised that Mandriva Linux doesn't come with wxPython already installed. Maybe the LE version is lacking it.

You may want to sign up at: http://www.mandrivaexpert.com/index1.php

and ask them for the details.

what way of installing did you do, did you get errors?

I've tried to install the
Mandrake 10.2, Python 2.4 from the wxPython site.
Linux complained about missing rpm files.
And every time I installed a missing rpm file it complains another one is missing.
Python 2.4 is already on Mandriva.

Peter.

its called "rpm hell", that is why I really like using a linux ditro that has a good package manager. A good pakcage manager should automatically get and install all dependencies for you.

I am not real familair with mandrake, but it should have a program call urpmi which might automatically download all of your dependencies for you.
