I learnt VB using a book called "Visual Basic 2005 Step By Step" by Microsoft Press. A C# should be available too (they are cheap to buy on amazon)
pick up the C# pocket reference, cant go wrong with a book that leaves out the filler and gives you what's important. :)

Hi, I bought this book "MDAD/MCSD Designing and implementing Web applications with Visual C#.NET and Visual Studio.NET" in Amazon and it's wonderful, I recommend it
Bob Tobars videos have really helped me!
It cost some money, but well worth it!
i'd thouroughly advice on O'Reilly's Learning C#, 2nd Edition or the slightly more advanced Programming C#: Building .NET Applications with C#.
good luck
