i want to know about the microsoft certification program.I am working as asp.net developer on c#,what are the certifications avaialable for me.Are there any books for this certification.I am a newbie in this area of certification.so kindly bear,if this question sounds silly.

Take a look at exams 70-528 and 70-536. There are reference materials available from microsoft for these specific tests. Research MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional).
