how can i color this option or highlight it
the main problem is i have a drop down menu for parents and their child categories so i need to highlight the parents :)

this is an html/javascript problem. php won't really help.
in html and css, there really isn't anything that will work across all major browsers. javascript is probably your best answer. sorry to say, but i am not a javascript expert and have no idea how to help. hopefully someone else can help.
