get string from URL in php

Hi All,

My URL is

http://localhost/project/insurance.php?link_id=NDI=

i want to get only insurance from the above url how can i do it ?
pls help

we can do it with the
pathinfo method very easily.

$part_url = pathinfo($_SERVER;
print_r($part_url);

this will print insurance only that i exactly need.
