I see that there is only source that can be downloaded. As I don't have the root privilege, I can't compile and install apache. What alternative is there that would not require compiling and installing apache?

sudo apt-get install apache/apache2?

As far as I know, Apache is a Kernel module in Linux. To do anything with it it you will need root privileges.
Why not ask the owner to install it?
Your dilemma sounds quite unusual...
