Modify data in the php form

Hi all,

I have a form contains customer details. The text fields are filled with data values, which retrieve from the database (customer table). There is a button below the form called "Modify". If user clicks on this button the user should be able to modify the details if he wants to do it. How it can be done? what is the valid php coding which i can use?

Please give me a solution...
