Hello out there. I had a professor who had a login section for his course website that allowed the student to enter a unique id# and submit to get there course grade. Now that professor is no longer here but I know the page was of type .asp.

Now I have a job teaching some labs, and I would like to use the same set up, but I was wondering if it would be quicker just to use php to do the work.

Are there advantages to using .asp over a php script?

Thanks I am really in the dark.
