Just as the title asks ... can selenium be used to automate forum spamming? If so, what are some techniques to combat that?

I would use a captcha for new users: if a user writes more than N posts in a given period of time (10~ minutes) then a response to a captcha field is requested for each new attemp. Just an idea o_o'

Currently all members with 10 or fewer posts have to use a captcha. It's been that way for nearly a year. :)
