What do you guys use and why? I've always used Dreamweaver and Firefox to write/debug. Any other suggestions?

I use any (free + linux) markup-highlighting text editor [at the moment Kate].. and Opera for debugging strangely enough. Firefox can be useful sometimes

Try 1st JavaScript Editor if you aim only JavaScript.
Howver i use the one you mentioned.
