anyone recommend good book to learn programming with java?
i currently have Head First Java Second Edition but the notes got me confused with the books many different explanations for some concepts

Hey!
Ahh hatred for BlueJ. >.<

I found that the official tutorials were great in explaining concepts, you'd be surprised how useful the internet can be for this kind of thing as an alternative to books. It's easier (for me at least) to search for specific subjects than trying to work through a book.

try this > Java Tutorials: Classes

This pretty much goes through everything to do with java, in a nice order.

In terms of classes, exactly what don't you understand? I/We could explain them in a more interactive way than a book, so just ask questions here i suppose :)

try the sticky thread on top of this forum that's all about STARTING WITH JAVA and stuff..

what do you want your teacher to do? hand you the solution? what have you got so far and what problems are you having?

look at my homework its confusing lol and bluej 1.5 fails alot they dont want us to use latest java version

thanks for the link i will try to read it up and cojme back if i still dont understand the questions

we can't look at it, you didn't post links to images, you posted flat text what you think are links.
