Woo I thought I'd get not more than that ... :)
Lol nanosani thats mean
Actually these are the rush hours for my isp ... so I can compromise on that .... keeping in mind the price I have to pay .................... a dollar and a half for a full month for 10 hours a day ... cute isnt it :D
Your connection is: 622 Kbps (about 0.6 Mbps)
You downloaded at: 76 kB/s
Keep in mind I was runing a buttload of programs

Diagnosis: may need help: running at only 31.56% of your hosts average
So I pay them 100% and they give me 32%. Not too bad for sunday afternoons I guess.

1MB/s I wish I could hit that speed as well.
Or do you mean 1Mb/s
A 1MB/s connection is about the equivilent of an 8Mb/s connection.
I am about to start a different thread on Connection speed/price, to see what other people pay (in different parts of the world) for similar connection speeds.

yea, i meant 1Mb, what is the difference between 1MB and 1Mb...Because I know there is a diff between 1KB and 1Kb, how do you calculate the difference?

funny though for me, usually i can download at up 500kb a second alot more than it states.
but then again, stress on the server, or peak times may be involved.

hmm, nice connection at work. Guess there's not many people pumping data to clients at the moment :)
Your connection is: 3039 Kbps (about 3 Mbps)
You downloaded at: 371 kB/s
Your TRuSPEED: ^info^ 3252 Kbps :: 397 kB/s (7% overhead factored)
I've experienced faster though. Fastest was with a client where I downloaded 120+ megabytes in under 2 minutes.
Connection: 640 kbs
Download: 76 kb/s
I guess that's pretty good for being on wireless.

1b = 1 bit e.g. a 1 or a 0
1B = 8 bits e.g. 1101 1011
1Kb = 1024 bits
1KB = 1024 Bytes
The difference is that a byte is 8 bits
1Mb = 1024Kbits
1MB = 1024KBytes
In general a B is 8 times greater than a b
Data storage is nearly always measured in Bytes
Data transfer is nearly always measured in bits
Hope that lot makes sense :D

kind of confusing, for me, But I will get it sooner or later.

How the heck can you download at 2MB per second? My isp is also videotron and I also have a 5.1 mbps connection so I guess you have high speed cable. The fastest speed I have ever downloaded at is 875kbps for a download that lasted under 30 minutes. 2mb seems a bit exagerated for a connection that is supposed to range around 300 to 500 kbps.
i´m running about 1Mbps
running at 2M and loving it.
