hi guys, I posted something similar a long time ago, but I had the same issue againt today. I wanted to upload some files onto the forum (a small java program ) but I couldn't do it. Now, I know that .java files are not allowed to I saved them as .txt but I still got the error message saying that the file type is not allowed. I am pretty sure that text files were allowed, or am I wrong?

I don't have the code readily available at the moment, but I could have sworn that source file types were allowed, including .txt and .java.
What browser are you using? We've noticed issues before with different browsers as concerns file upload.

I'm having a similar problem. I just tried attaching a patch file to one of my posts as .patch.gz (compressed), .patch (uncompressed) and .txt and it keeps telling me that it is not allowed.
I'm using Firefox on Kubuntu 14.04.
