Just wondering whether self-answered threads (without any contribution) - i.e. OP posts and then marks as solved - should be classed as "unanswered" and show in the Unanswered tab of a forum / search. My feeling is that they shouldn't, but I'm sure there's a good reason why they do. Can anybody shine a light on this?

Jump to PostI think it should be fine to have them there to promote other folks to contribute their own solutions/answers.
Jump to PostI've also seen many times where a newbie will mark their own new thread solved because they don't realize what the button means.
