How can I find out how much traffic my competitor's site receives? Explain it.

You can use alexa and see their site rankings

Alexa gives you a good guidelines about your competitors. But be aware that they do not track the exact traffic for all sites. If your competitor is below certain traffic rank all alexa gives you is an estimate of the traffic based on the backlinks.
