Two stories have been featuring social media as playing a role in embarrassing politicians and uncovering potential scandals. The lesser of the two was the revelation by an ABC reporter, via twitter, that the President called Kanye West a jackass for his actions at the VMAs on Sunday (no argument with the President on this one). The other is the growing controversy created by videos, featured on YouTube, that have shown employees of ACORN (a group that heavily supported the president in his campaign and that has ties to many politicians in the President's party) actively advising people to break numerous laws.

As the President and many other politicians are using many facets of social media to communicate to their constituents, does anyone think that these two stories are going to cause pullback by the public sector (and possibly the private sector) from using social media?
